This intimate waxing style involves your esthetician removing all visible pubic hair, from your front, between your upper legs, around your labia, and between the buttocks. It is the most popular type of intimate wax procedure in Hollywood, hence its moniker.
In terms of preparation when it comes to intimate waxing, there isn’t much you need to do. The most important thing is the length of your pubic hair. Make sure you grow it out a bit to a quarter of an inch. When your pubic hair is this length, it allows for the wax of the intimate area to properly stick to the hair.
Another way you can prepare for your intimate wax is by prepping the pubic region. Taking a warm bath and exfoliating the skin the night before helps soften the skin and helps get rid of any unwanted dead skin cells that are likely to clog your pores. After any kind of intimate waxing, the skin is vulnerable to infection. This is why most beauticians suggest avoiding water, especially swimming pools, for at least 24 hours. Taking a shower is OK after your bikini wax.
You probably want to check out how smooth and nice your skin feels. Don’t do this – keep your hands to yourself. Wait at least a day until you touch as your fingers may introduce unwanted bacteria to the area.
If you are the active type, use the next two days to take some RnR. After any kind of intimate waxing, your skin is more sensitive and vulnerable to bacteria. Therefore, it is a good idea to avoid any friction, heat, or sweat. This includes working out, tanning, and having sex
Avoid sunbathing for at least 48 hours pre and post-wax. So, if you’d planned your intimate waxing around a sunny getaway, keep this in mind.
